The ministry of warfare and deliverance is surely a fascinating aspect of our faith. It deals with having to face demons in spiritual warfare in almost every aspect of our existence. If you are interested in these kinds of books, here are some that you might want to have.

These authors are true pioneers in this topic and you can definitely learn so many things from their experiences and knowledge. They narrate what goes in the battlefield, so to speak, and how they fight in the name of the Lord against Satan and his minions.

1. "Defeating Dark Angels" by Charles H. Kraft

One of the best source of practical, step-by-step information on how to release people from the grasp of demonic spirits, this book is truly a treasure of information and knowledge. In the Bible, we are admonished to cast out demons, but it never really lays it down on what to do step-by-step. This will give you concrete information on how to do so and how it relates to the work of the Lord.

Just like any pioneer, Charles Kraft, imparts his knowledge in this field. This book provides a wide coverage of the topic from how demons are allowed to attach to people and how to successfully break their legal attachments with the individual so that you can successfully cast them out. One of the best books in this field, I would personally give it a 10 out of 10 rating. If you are looking for a reliable book as you enter the deliverance ministry, then you can never go wrong with this one. This is one book that should be in your bag of arsenals.

2. "Healing Through Deliverance - Volumes 1 & 2: The Practice of Deliverance Ministry" by Peter Horrobin

This is a book that provides an in depth analysis of the deliverance ministry. Charles Kraft even provides his endorsements for these two books. It tackles various aspects of this ministry in each book. For volume 1, it talks about the biblical basis for having a deliverance ministry guided by the Lord. The author provides a very detailed explanation about how Jesus commissioned his saints to cast out demons as He did. The first volume will provide you with all the answers about the grounds and authority we have in casting out demons as believers and followers of the Lord.

On the other hand, volume 2 deals with the specifics. It is a how-to book in casting demons, covering all the major points that you need to know. Some of these points include the demons legal rights to possess us and it shows how we can break those legal rights so you can provide deliverance to people in the name of God. These two books are great companion books for Charles Kraft’s book “Defeating Angels.” I would highly recommend that you have at hand if you are to go in this type of ministry.

3. "Larson's Book of Spiritual Warfare" by Bob Larson

Mr. Larson is also one of the pioneers in this deliverance ministry. I have seen him at work, personally, and I believe that he is truly anointed by the Lord. He is very knowledgeable in what he does and you are sure to learn plenty of things from him.

Every single page, all 481, will provide you with information on the occult and how they are drawing people into the demonic realm. He provided thorough information on spiritual deliverance and ends the book with how to actually deliver people from Satan’s grasps.

4. "How to Cast Out Demons: A Guide to the Basics" by Doris Wagner

This book also provides a step-by-step process on how to deliver people from the grasps of Satan and his minions. It also outlines complete explanations on how to perform deliverance and the author is also another pioneer in this field. She imparts the knowledge she has learned from the Lord and shares it to people who are in the same ministry as her. She also provides a detailed explanation of the demon’s legal rights in us and explains how we can ultimately break those rights by providing detailed instructions. This will help people under their grasp to break free and see the light.

The great thing that I love about his book is that it has a checklist as well as a questionnaire that you can use. You can have an easier time in finding out what legal rights the demon has that might be allowing it to stay and torment that person. It is another solid book that you should have if you are to go into this ministry.

5. "Pigs in the Parlor" by Frank and Ida Mae Hammond

In areas of deliverance, this book is considered to be one the best and considered a classic. Most deliverance ministers have used this book as a basis ever since it was written in 1973 by this husband and wife team.  You will find practical step-by-step information and guide in this book about how to deliver people from the demons.

I would recommend this book to anybody looking to understand or go into this ministry. It is one of the first books written in this field and will surely provide readers with a wealth of information and knowledge that they need. They also provide actual information about cases that they have handled before, giving you insight on what it’s like in the actual battlefield itself.

6. "Unmasking the Jezebel Spirit" by John Paul Jackson

One of the best books written about the Jezebel spirit, this spirit infiltrates churches and it is must that each pastor and deliverance minister knows about it and how it operates. This spirit has ravaged plenty of churches operating through some of the member of the church itself.

You will find examples of how this spirit has ravaged solid churches by attaching themselves to people in the church and then influence these people to destroy the churches leadership. Pastors who were unfamiliar with how this spirit works have lost whole ministries as a result because of it. Every church leader and pastor should have a copy of this book in their hands.

7. "The Power of the Blood" by Maxwell Whyte

One of the first book that explained and made me understand the true power of Jesus’ blood in delivering people from the grasp of demons and Satan. It might be a small book, only 92 pages, but the information that you’ll get is astounding. The author provides actual examples from his experience on how he pleaded for people’s deliverance in the name of the Lord Jesus’ blood. This includes the biblical grounds that we have to use it. He also gives the miracles that have happened as a result.

You will find few books that are actually about using the blood of Jesus and pleading for deliverance, so I would suggest that you obtain a copy of this book to help you in your ministry. Despite its small number of pages, I believe this book will be considered a classic in this topic.

8. "The Blood and the Glory" by Billye Brim

If you want to learn more about how to plead the blood of Jesus, I would recommend this book next to Maxwell Whyte’s book above. This author provides great examples on how she pleaded for the blood of Jesus and used it in her own life. She also managed to save her own family members and relatives as a result.  Another great thing is that she gives Scriptural foundation on why we can plead the blood of Christ for our protection and deliverance from the enemy.

This author sought for the Lord and learned so many things and insights about the topic. As mentioned before, you won’t find that many good books about this topic so if you can, look for this book and make sure that you have it in your library as well. This is especially true if you are in this same ministry.

9. "The Word, the Name, the Blood" by Joyce Meyer

This will be the third book I would suggest about this topic. Joyce Meyer has written about the power we can have to deliver people in the name of blood of Christ.  She even attests its power in her own life and how powerful a weapon it is when placed in the hands of a spirit-filled believer.

Apart from that, she tackles how there is power in the name of Jesus alone as well as in His Word. If you want an additional book for your armory, you will find basic information here especially if you are looking to become a true soldier of the Lord.

In my opinion, Joyce Meyer is one of the best teachers we have today. I don’t think there is one book that she has written that has not helped anybody in their fight for the Lord’s cause.

Deliverance isn’t really discussed much in today’s churches, but if you remember, 25% of the miracles that Jesus performed were that of deliverance. If you want a good book about spiritual warfare, then I would suggest that you look for these books and make them a part of your life.
