1."Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen

Having one of the biggest churches in America, Joel Osteen has become one of the foremost Bible teachers today. He’s been churning out really reliable and solid biblical teachings from his books; he is truly gifted in the knowledge and revelation of God’s teachings. This book is one of the national bestsellers under his name.

Even though some people have dubbed him as too “seeker-sensitive” whenever he gives a sermon, I think he is truly blessed and guided by the Lord. You will not only learn plenty of advice and wisdom from this book, but it also provides a guide on how you can get the most out of your relationship with the Lord as well as his calling for your life.

2."God's Generals: Why They Succeeded" by Roberts Liardon

Are you familiar with the following names: Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlmann, Aimee Semple Mcpherson and Marie Woodworth-Etter? If you are not, these people are some of the saints that have fought for God’s Word. This book is a good place to start if you want to learn more about their ministries, how they established their ministry and all of the wonderful things that happened in their ministry as they spread the Word of the Lord.

If you are looking to learn from people who have challenged and pushed the envelope with God, you will definitely find this book fascinating. These people have learned what it means to walk as one of God’s anointed. Both their successes and failures will surely enlighten you and help you learn on what it means to be a true Christian and disciple of the Lord. No book has ever discussed and delved into the basic details of these people’s lives except this one.

3."The Holy Spirit" by Billy Graham

There is no denying Billy Graham is one of the greatest and well-known evangelists we have today. His books are equally insightful and very helpful for anyone who is seeking a deeper understanding of their Christian faith. This book offers a solid understanding about the Holy Spirit, talking about the nine gifts and nine fruits that it gives. It also showcases how the Holy Spirit impresses and leads sinners towards the Lord for us to have eternal salvation. This is one book that will lead and help guide you to understanding the Holy Spirit as well as leading you into a deeper, more meaningful relationship with the Savior. I think this book is one of the best about the ministry of the Holy Spirit and his work in us as we go through our journey.

4."Maximizing the Moment: God's Action Plan for Your Life" by T. D. Jakes

Considered to be one of the anointed and greatest teachers we have today, T.D. Jakes is a familiar presence to the Christian community. He has his own program and he is one of the best motivational speakers; always encouraging every single Christian to become everything that God is calling them to be. If you see him on his program, you can tell that he is passionate and intense about imparting and following the teachings of the Lord.

You will find great details on this book about how you can make the most and follow God’s will for what it is that he is calling you to do. Overcoming your past, getting past roadblocks and facing your obstacles in order to fully walk with the Lord and his will are just some of the things that are being discussed in this book. This book will provide you with valuable teachings on how to follow what He has set up as your destiny.

5."Paul" by Charles Swindoll

Considered to be one of the best apostles in the New Testament, Paul is certainly one of the most easily identifiable figures of the Bible. Mr. Swindoll provides you with the basic facts of the apostle’s journey and adventure in his life with the Lord. Reading this book will give you insights on how Paul went about his life with the Lord. It also helps us learn how to incorporate all these lessons into our own daily walk with the Master.

6."David: A Man of Passion and Destiny" by Charles Swindoll

The only man to ever receive two compliments from the Father, David, was certainly one of the greatest kings Israel ever had. He was complimented by God as a man after His own heart and the man who would do the will of God for all his life. Mr. Swindoll breaks down and strips the details of David’s life and showcases how he became one of the most prominent saints in the Old Testament.

7."Handbook of Todays' Religions" by Josh McDowell

This book tackles the many different types of false religious beliefs that have infiltrated today’s society. From the occult, New Age Movement, even the secular areas like Marxism, Atheism, and Humanism, this book discusses it and provides basic information about these belief systems. As they say, “You cannot fight the enemy unless you have the proper weapon.” Having information about all these other false beliefs can arm you with an advantage and will help you from getting persuaded into their area.

8."Sparkling Gems From the Greek" by Rick Renner

Having a devotional can help you become focused and consistent in your walk with the Lord.  Rick Renner realized this and has created a devotional that will help you in your every day faith. Mr. Renner is considered to be one of the best teachers of the Gospel today. He provides a specific lesson for each day of the week and what’s great is that his teachings are based from the original Greek language that the New Testament was written in.

For every day that you do the devotions, you will encounter more than 1000 in-depth Greek words that are used throughout the original Scripture verses. Moreover, expect to encounter various topics as you go through the devotional each day. Mr. Renner has created a devotional filled with solid biblical teachings. Reading and meditating on this man’s work will surely help us grow in knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior.

9. "Loose That Man and Let Him Go!" by T. D. Jakes

This book is especially geared for men who have trouble letting go of their past. It provides great insight on how you can move on from your past, no matter how horrible it is and mover forward into the destiny that God has outlined for you since the start. This is a great motivational book in getting the warriors of God to take up arms and start moving for him instead of sitting idly or cowering in fear. It helps lead you to God’s call for your life and His ultimate plan for you.

10. "Called to Be God's Leaders" by Henry Blackaby and Richard Blackaby

There is no doubt that Joshua is one key figure in the Old Testament, if not the entire Bible. This book narrates why and how he became such a successful warrior for the Lord’s case and how he led the Israelites from the wilderness and into the Promised Land. If you are having trouble deciding whether to take up a leadership position in any ministry that the Lord is calling you, you will have plenty of insights in this book.  Two of the main subtitles for the book include, "Lessons From the Life of Joshua" and "How God Prepares His Servants for Spiritual Leadership." Joshua is truly one of the greatest men that have served the Lord and the authors were able to isolate the main factors and reasons on what made him such a great man for God.

11. "The Devil's Door" by John Bevere

One of the greatest teachers in the Lord today, John Bevere is a true man of God. In this book, he covers how saints sometimes move into the other side of the fence and what happens if we do forget that we should be on the Lord’s side. He also tackles a crucial question, whether Christians will ever lose salvation in the Lord. Being saved does not mean that we can go on sinning like before. This book provides practical insight into how one can live a righteous and good life under Jesus.

12. "Elijah" by Charles Swindoll

Elijah is just one of the several men and women of the Bible that this writer has written about. Elijah was so blessed to have walked with some of the most blessed people spoken of in the Bible. It narrates everything we can learn from Elijah’s life as well as the amazing journey he went through in his walk with the Lord. This is probably one of the best books about this prophet’s life.

13. "Joseph" by Charles Swindoll

This is another one of Mr. Swindoll’s great books about the life of some of the key figures in the Bible. This one tackles the life of Joseph. I’m pretty sure that you know the basic story of Joseph, how he was thrown in a pit by his brothers, sold as a slave and ended up in the palace. This book will give you very good details on how this happened as well as insights on how we should all believe in the Lord even when circumstances may not encourage us to do so. As long as we trust in the Lord, we will be rewarded sooner or later.
